Pebbles
Pebbles passed away, she showed no signs of
being ill and on examining her my vet could not
find a reason why this happened. Those of us
who own exotic pets know that sometimes these
things happen, without good reason and can not
be explained. We are still learning about them
and hopefully one day will know and understand
more. Pebbles did leave some beautiful babies
so we have part of her still with us. She is
missed everyday and we will love her and remember
her always.
Age: Almost two years old
Genetics: Red Flame X Blood
Size: 18" long and weighs 450 grams
Pebbles is very sweet and lives well with other
girls. I think she's happier with another female
living with her; as she likes to snuggle with
someone when she sleeps. Pebbles has the prettiest
all over salmon pink color. Her color almost
seems to glow when she is basking under her heat
lamp. Pebbles eats her salad well but will pick
out the mustard greens first, as she likes those
best. She'll eat worms from your fingers, but
she is not a patient girl. If the cup of worms
is sitting there, she'll go and get her own;
munching as she looks at you with a "you have to learn to offer them faster"
look. Pebbles likes to sit on the couch and watch
TV with me. I know she can't really see at a distance
that well, but she will sit cocking her head one
way for a while and then the other; as if she is
seeing and understanding the show. It really is
a cute mannerism.
